Portrait of a mossy log
Drove down to the Lower Huron River Metropark yesterday morning. Cloudy and grey, and still a bit cool — only in the 40’s (Fahrenheit). Hoping for some good morning light. Spent about 90 minutes at the park altogether, without a ton to show for it. I like this mossy log shot, though. The new moss growth hints at a rumored Spring, while the rotting leaves from last Fall remind me that Winter’s grip is loosening only very slowly.
This shot is with my Nikon D80, 50mm at f1.8 and 1/160. White balance was set to 6700 Kelvin and I also had a Tiffen 812 warming filter mounted.
